There are several wonderful options for accommodations during your stay. We’ve included a few of our favorite areas below, depending on whether you’d prefer to be close to the château, explore the charming town of Chantilly, or spend a few extra days in Paris.

A little Paris geography: Paris is divided by the Seine (where our cruise will be) into the Right Bank (north) and Left Bank (south). The city is further divided into 20 arrondissements, which spiral outward from the center. Below, you’ll find all 20 arrondissements of Paris, along with some of the major landmarks and highlights that define each area.

A Little Château Geography: Our château is nestled in Saint-Martin-du-Tertre, a charming village surrounded by the forests and countryside of Val-d’Oise. Just beyond the bustle of Paris, this area offers a quieter, more quintessentially French experience—with wooded landscapes, historic villages, and beautiful estates.

Nearby Chantilly is another lovely place to explore, known for its magnificent château, gardens, and equestrian heritage.

If you’re planning to spend a few days exploring Paris before or after the wedding, staying in the city is a wonderful option.

Saint-Germain-des-Prés | 6th

Classic • Elegant • Left Bank

Charming cafés, beautiful architecture, boutiques, and easy access to the Luxembourg Gardens and Seine. A wonderful choice for guests who want a quintessentially Parisian experience.

Best for: First-time visitors, couples, cafés, leisurely exploring.

  • Mandarin Oriental Lutetia (€€€€)— The grandest luxury option in Saint-Germain, with historic Art Deco glamour, a full spa, and a beautiful Left Bank setting.

Le Marais | 3rd & 4th

Historic • Lively • Stylish

A beautiful area to wander, filled with historic streets, independent boutiques, galleries, and restaurants. It has a younger, more energetic feel while still feeling distinctly Parisian.

Best for: Food, shopping, nightlife, and guests who want a lively neighborhood.

Louvre / Palais Royal | 1st

Central • Classic • Convenient

Right in the heart of Paris, with the Louvre, Tuileries Gardens, Palais Royal, and Seine all nearby. This is one of the easiest areas for guests who want to be close to many of the city’s major sights.

Best for: First-time visitors and maximum convenience.

  • Ritz Paris (€€€€) — Place Vendôme; probably the most iconic choice for old-world Parisian glamour.

  • Cheval Blanc Paris (€€€€) — right along the Seine near Pont-Neuf; much more contemporary and fashion-forward.

Opéra / Madeleine | 8th & 9th

Elegant • Grand • Shopping

A more polished and glamorous side of Paris, close to the grands magasins, luxury shopping, restaurants, and beautiful Haussmannian boulevards.

Best for: Shopping, luxury hotels, and guests who love a more glamorous Paris.

Eiffel Tower / 7th & 16th

Romantic • Residential • Iconic

A quieter and more residential part of central Paris, with the Eiffel Tower, Invalides, and Musée d’Orsay nearby. Beautiful if guests want that classic Paris postcard feeling.

Best for: Romance, views, and a quieter stay.

  • Shangri-La Paris (€€€€)— Historic grandeur with some of the city’s most beautiful Eiffel Tower views.

  • The Peninsula Paris (€€€€) — Refined, contemporary luxury in an elegant setting near the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower.

3. STAY NEAR THE CHÂTEAU - The easiest option for the wedding week

Staying near the château keeps you close to the celebration and makes getting to and from the wedding as easy as possible. There are several hotels in the surrounding area, including options near Saint-Witz, Maffliers, and the airport.

  • Demeures de Campagne Domaine de Maffliers: A beautiful countryside option set on a historic estate, surrounded by gardens and greenery. It’s a lovely choice if you’d like to experience the French countryside while staying relatively close to Paris and Charles de Gaulle Airport. Best for: Guests who want a peaceful, quintessentially French setting.

  • Golden Tulip Roissy Saint Witz: A comfortable and convenient option in Saint-Witz, particularly well located for guests flying in and out of Charles de Gaulle Airport. The hotel is approximately 15 minutes from CDG. Best for: Convenience and easy airport access.

4. STAY IN CHANTILLY: For a charming French town experience

Chantilly is one of our favorite options for guests who would like to explore the area during their stay.The town is home to the beautiful Château de Chantilly, the Grandes Écuries, charming restaurants and cafés, and the famous Chantilly racecourse. It also has a train station with connections to Paris, making it easy to spend a day in the city without staying there.

  • Auberge du Jeu de Paume: For those looking for a luxurious French experience, this beautiful five-star hotel is located in the heart of Chantilly, just steps from the Château de Chantilly and the Grandes Écuries. Best for: A romantic, luxurious stay and the full French château experience.
